Demo Day at the Attic Window!
This month is going to be all about charms, layer cakes, bali-pops and jelly rolls. They are wonderful to look at, you buy one or receive one as a present, then the question is, "what do I do with this?" Martha's busy researching lots of pattern ideas to share with you. She'll talk about why you'll want to work with charms and rolls, show you some great and easy patterns, a few samples, a couple of techniques, and lots of ideas to share. We'll have great demo day specials and a drawing at each session. So join us and "be-charmed!"

Martha will have some quick tips to share, as she's always looking for the easiest methods to show you. You'll leave with instructions and measurements for all projects, and we'll have special demonstration day pricing on our pick of fabrics perfect for these projects.
As always, no reservations are required!
Date: February 17th
10:30am OR 1pm
Sew Expo 2012!

Are you ready for Sew Expo?
We know some of you are, as you've been asking for weeks for us to start signing folks up! You must love it as much as we do, with all the vendors, classes and demonstrations -- so much inspiration in one location, it's one of our favorite events of the year!
Yes, we are chartering a bus to make the trip (how could we not, it's such a popular event!) Join us and skip the hassle of driving and parking. While you sip a cup of coffee, chat with friends, do some hand sewing or knitting, or just watch the scenery go by, our bus driver will negotiate the highways and byways, delivering us to the fairgrounds relaxed and ready for a day of learning and shopping.
Take a look at the Sew Expo website to see all that's in store for us this year.

Check out the details below for the bus -- don't hesitate in making your reservation as space is limited. Last year we sold out and had a waiting list, and we were so sorry we didn't have room for everyone who wanted to go. This year we've got a bus with a few more seats, but with all the interest we've already heard about, we're guessing the larger bus will fill rapidly!
Call us at (509) 888-2006 or e-mail us at atticwindow@nwi.net to make your reservation.
DATE: Friday, March 2, 2011
TIME: The bus will leave Wenatchee at 6:00 AM sharp; will leave Puyallup at 6:00 PM
LOCATION: Load and unload behind JC Penney's, park to the south in the lot.
COST: $45, which includes an admission ticket to Sew Expo; payment in full due at the time your reservation is made.
DETAILS: We will stop midway on the trip over at an appropriate rest area. We will stop for dinner on the return trip; you are responsible for the cost of your meal.
CANCELLATION POLICY: The cancellation policy is based on our need to make a guarantee to the bus charter company well in advance of the trip date. Full payment must be made to reserve your seat; we are not able to hold seats if payment has not been made. Notification of cancellation for a full refund is February 3rd by 5:00 p.m. Cancellation deadline for a 50% refund is February 17th at 5:00 p.m. No refunds will be given for cancellations after that time -- you are welcome to find someone to take your seat in your stead. If the trip is cancelled due to weather conditions, you will be refunded $35.00, as tickets to the show are non-refundable.

- information about upcoming events and products
- a "first chance" opportunity to sign up for some events w/ limited enrollment availability

Fifth Saturday Challenge!
We heard about this from a shop owner in New Hampshire -- her customers love it and we hope you will too!
Each 5th Saturday (except December), challenge participants will receive a bag with 2 - 3 yards of assorted fabrics. You'll see what we made with the fabrics, we'll demonstrate a technique or two related to the item we made, then we'll challenge you to make something using at least some of each of the fabric in your bag. You may add as many other fabrics as you like -- there are only two rules: 1) you pay for the bag in advance (before you see what's inside!) 2) you must use a recognizable amount of each fabric on the front side of your finished piece. Then, at the next 5th Saturday everyone reveals their creations, participants and visitors vote on their favorites, with a prize for the winning entry.
Advanced registration and payment are required as there are a limited number of bags for purchase! Sign up now to reserve your bag.
Date: Saturday, March 31st
Time: noon
Instructor: Martha Steinborn
Cost: $20
